DATA CRUNCH LUNCH – A.I. AND I
DATA CRUNCH LUNCH – AI and I
The Data Crunch lunch is lunch-time networking session where we invite inspiring speakers with Data Science running through their veins to share stories and we’ll eat Pizza. Join us.
In November, we’ll here about:
Personal encounters with A.I. and its practical application in business today. This session will rapidly look at what is really meant when we talk about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine-learning why there is so much hype.
Guest speaker Dean Mann is a specialist in analysing complex systems for organisations seeking to get real value from data together with decision support services, using BlakesEye’s unique SMART data platform, the Bridge.
Dean is chief technical officer and director of BlakesEye Limited. They have received two SMART Scotland awards for original work in extending Data Science to deal with complex systems that combine people, processes and their associated real-time data. Health care systems are a good example. BlakesEye understand data, its nature and its effects. They have detailed experience and understanding of traditional tools and the latest technologies from Blockchain to Artificial Intelligence (AI). When tools are missing, they have researched and developed their own tools to derive real-world value from data. Currently they are developing a product class based on their own hybrid blockchain.
His experience ranges across many industries apart from healthcare including; telecommunications, Oil & Gas and aerospace. He has worked in commercial research into semiconductors and visual systems, developed training, quality assurance and risk assessment systems. A biologist by training, project manager, director, software/hardware engineer by experience and photographer by inclination.
Specialties: Real time systems design and development, Complexity, real world data, real time data, complex systems, management systems for chronic disease, research, training, quality assurance, risk assessment systems, hardware and software design.
Arrive 12:00 for Pizza. The session will start with lunch and informal networking followed an informal talk and finishing by 13:30.
