Katy McNeil – CivTech®
Katy McNeil will talk about some of the great Data Science fuelled entrepreneurs that have been through the CivTech programme. The next round of the Scottish Government’s CivTech® programme is now open. Katy will explain what’s involved.
CivTech® brings together public sector expertise and private sector creativity to solve real problems, develop new products, and deliver better, faster and easier services for everyone. Part of the Scottish Government’s Digital Directorate, CivTech® 3.0 has just opened with new public service challenges from local authorities, Scottish Government and public bodies. Any organisation, team or individual can respond by 2 July 2018. Applications are assessed, and shortlisted proposals go into an Exploration Stage where they’re developed further. The best go through to the Accelerator – four months of intensive work to create the solution. And through CivTech’s unique business workshop system, a business capable of taking the emerging product to the world is created. For teams or companies – it’s an opportunity to take a Challenge, solve it, and win contracts with a blue-chip public sector organisation.
Arrive 12:00 for Pizza. The session will start with lunch and informal networking followed by two short talks, finishing by 13:30.
